This Mississippi Blues Trail marker honors one of Mississippi’s oldest juke joint. The Blue Front Cafe is the center point of the traditional Bentonia-style blues. Established by the Holmes family in the late 1940’s, today Bluesman Jimmy “Duck” Holmes runs the show. Also site of the famous annual Bentonia Blues Festival.
