Arkansas Delta Music Trail marker commemorates Levon Helm who grew up in Turkey Scratch, a small settlement about an 8 mile drive north of the town of Marvell and 30 miles west of Helena, Arkansas. The house he lived in has been moved to Marvell and is to be restored as a museum dedicated to one of America’s greatest artists. Distinguished bluesman Robert Lockwood, Jr. was born in this locality.
