Located about 2.2 miles from Merigold, Po’ Monkey’s is one of the few remaining authentic juke joints and is a popular destination for Blues tourists.  The owner of Po’ Monkey’s, Willie Seaberry passed away in 2016.  The juke joint may not be open but it’s worth stopping by if you’re in the area for some photo opportunities of this historic place. You can also pay your respects to Willie “Po Monkey” Seaberry at the Merigold Cemetery located about 2.5 miles east of this location.
